Good time today at a wet Canby Datsun Show.
Ted and Jack with 320 trucks and "stalwart" Don Anderson in his roadster in the rain!
attended from the Seattle area. No problems on the 400 mile round trip.
(Don can drive in the rain because he has one of the FINE "ALVIN STYLE" hardtops)
Wayne had his RARE 1962 U320 (crew cab) truck at the show!. It was a real attention getter!.
Many of our Portland area DROPS Folks were there.
Good visiting all day long.
6 Roadsters were entered and DROPS cleaned up with all 3 awards.
I think the order, 1-3, was Tim C, John W and Mark? Anderson.

Does the black roadster belong to a drops member? Looks like it was fun regardless of the rain... I hope to attend next year!

Hi Dan,
YES, that is DROPS member Tim Corcoran's restored 64 1500.
Tim is currently in the Portland OR. area.
INMO the BEST restored stock 3 seat 1500 in the USA.
Have not seen or heard of a nicer one.
Restored in 1999-2000 by Ross at Sports Imports.

Ah, Yes.
Only XRAY vision Sid would know the invisible secret non stock improvement.
The trans is updated with the 510 4 speed first gear syncro innards.
MUCH nicer to drive.
Also more recent research confirms that the wide whitewalls were stock on the 63 1500.
The 64 1500 had narrow whitewalls.
BUT, I think the wide whitewalls look so period. ( have them on my 64 also but will go with narrow for the next tires).

I personally have no problem with the non synchro first gear. To each their own...
