Removing hood scoop chrome

Removing hood scoop chrome
What is the easiest way to remove the chrome strip on the hood scoop? I didn't see any attaching hardware and I don't want to screw it up. Getting ready to give it a new paint and I'm removing all the bling.

Robert, it's held on with 4 internal spring clips, so friction is all that holds it on. If you can't just pull it off you could use a piece of soft wood and tap if off. My clips are at each end and about 1/2 way between from center to where it makes the bend. Go slow and easy! Mike

+1 - and be EXTREMELY careful when reinstalling - it's v. easy to chip the paint
