5 lug wheel option
I have been looking into dropped spindles and they might require changing to 5 x 4.5 wheel lug pattern.
I am looking for options.....BBS wheel are getting harder to find......I prefer 2 or 3 piece rims.

Re: 5 lug wheel option
Phil, please give details when you figure out which spindles work. I would LOVE to do a 5 lug conversion!! I can't help with wheels beyond suggesting that the chevy bolt pattern (5 on 4 3/4) is the way to go.

Re: 5 lug wheel option
I ordered some tubular Heim joint upper control arms that I am going to modify to mount in the stock location.
After that I will make some lower ball joint adapter plates for screw-in joints...
I hope to be using Wilwood 2-inch drop Pro-spindles.....
Most hubs for the Pro-Spindles have both 5x4.5 and 5x4.75

Re: 5 lug wheel option
My reasoning for suggesting the 5x4.75 is that there are more Chevy wheels out there than Ford, that's all. What will you do in the rear? An S10 or Ranger rear end?

Re: 5 lug wheel option
I have lots of different ideas.
If I do a live axle.....the number one choice is a speedway engineering mini stock quick change.
That might require moving the fuel tank across the back just behind the package shelf.
The number two choice is mono or split leaf springs on a stock LSD and special axles.
I might try a narrowed STI-WRX IRS...but that might be for my toy.

Horsepower is how hard you hit the wall, torque is how far you take the wall with you.

Re: 5 lug wheel option
Phil if you want to spent money there is here in the Netherlands a great deal for BBS rims.
Fit all are cars and made out of 3 parts. I like the rs-9 and rs-10 most. at 14,15,and 16".
But you need at least 2000 dollar.
Nice old school rims 3 parts.

Re: 5 lug wheel option
Thanks
That's what I wanted.
I can get the lips here, but the centers would have to come from them.
I like RS20....maybe either RS26 or RS27.
I was also thinking about cobra style wheels.

Re: 5 lug wheel option
I like the rs 26 too but the RS 27 is more a ALFA Romeo wheel.
