What?? Alvin deterring someone from modifying a roadster?? The devil you say!

(Sorry Alvin, couldn't resist)

Alvin and Mark are right. I am all for the school of thought of "if it's free, then it's for me", but those wheels probably don't make a lot of sense. There are scads of old Z wheels out there that work fine and are cheap. You could sell the Stang wheels and get Z wheels and have money to boot.

Of course, if you are hell bent on making them work, let me know how you convert the front hubs to 5 lugs...

It's very do-able .... I have a 69 2000 with a Chrysler rear end (5 lug) and matching fronts. Can't upload photos .... too large.

How did you convert the front hubs? Adaptors, redrilled hubs or replaced hubs?

If the wheels have a large positive offset (like the +50 mentioned earlier) you can have custom made adapters. These would be thick aluminum with 4 holes for the current studs and five studs sticking out for the wheel. What's a good offset for a Roadster? +11 to +15 or so, right? So a +50 wheel would need something like a 35mm to +40mm adapter. Actual fitment may vary. :-)

A 4 to 4 (same or different pattern) costs about $200 for a set and you can find them on eBay. Dunno about a 4 to 5 adapter.

This is also a way to get many of the modern "tuner" wheels to fit on a Roadster.
