That is pretty cool. I liked the bit about the SCCA Triumph racer saying he got to see the back end of quite a few Datsuns passing him on the track.

So, if that is what can be done with a 1/43 die-cast base - imagine using the Autoart.

Hmmm. I have the parts to make one. A fresh Datsun 2000 metal body and a fresh engine from the late 60's. I have made my own slot cars in the past when I was a kid and I wanted a car which no one made the body for. Mine today would not be as cool as that one. I don't have the patience to detail like that builder does. His car is a 10. Mine would be an 8. LOL.

I still have over a 100 HO scale slot cars, parts, track and all. Many in the original boxes. Pretty cool. Brings back memories.

If you want an HO scale slot car, I know of a source for a body...

Yup. Those lexan bodies make great chocolate molds btw...

I was hopeing to see it on his track in a video, like racing the spitfire talked about ,that would be cool.
