Picked up and installed my modified Dellorto emulsion tubes. I had a set that worked well at lower speeds but over fueled on top, and a set that did the exact opposit. We soldered the suspected holes, redrilled using a Weber jet drill pack, and smoothed them out. Preliminary testing yesterday looked very very promising and should be tunable now with fine jet adjustments... So excited! Once the jetting is right I'll tune it on the dyno and adjust the timing curve with the megajolt. Just waiting on weather now.

Also ran the new RX7 LSD... Pretty cool! Very quiet. I did however have the parking brake set too tight and by the time I got to the gas station I could smell hot brakes! Passenger rear wheel was quite hot, so I let it cool some and went home to adjust it... Great now! I think the brakes work even better than before vs the drums and balance out the front 4runner set up. Very pleased... Thanks Jon!

I've been casually looking for a rx7 rear end for a couple of years now and I'm picking one up today. I'll throw it in the parts pile to convert someday. I think I'm just a hoarder.

Yesterday I finished installing the carpet, trim and interior kit. Took it out for a short spin around town. First time since the day after Christmas that it's been on the road.

I find it hard to believe you drove it in that condition...No seats nor steering wheel!! Well at least you have the key in the ignition.

just kidding. Looks good! It always feels great with that new interior installed don't it.

A friend was giving me crap over doing my interior before doing paint. His argument was, No one sees the interior. My response was I don't care what strangers see. I care what I see...and I love driving it.

Yes, sitting on the floor with a vice grips on the steering column made it a real challenge...

Just kidding! Had my seats re-upholstered and reinstalled them. Interior's looking pretty good.

I gave it a bath and took it into work. The garage attendant wasn't sure what to do with it, so I walked him through it. He did okay. On my way home, I got several thumbs up, and at a stop near my home a stranger came up to me to take a closer look. I pulled over to get out of traffic. This guy loved old roadsters and asked lots of questions. He liked the car. It was fun.

Played Hooky from work yesterday, worked on tuning my 69 SRL Solex...still not quite right. Had a rear brake lock up during a test drive. Piston frozen...replaced the rear cylinder with new...fixed a short in the interior harness that was blowing turn signal fuse....got the horn not to auto sound on left hand turns...

Productive but a little frustrating

Fired up 'Blondie' (I made the mistake of letting my wife pick the cars name) for the first time this year.
She started strong on the second crank. We went for a spirited first drive and the car ran like a dream.
Tomorrow AM, I will re detail a perfectly clean machine because I can't help myself. After lunch it is off to a back road cruz of No. Jersey hills. Life is good...

Roadside repair. I was riding down the highway in 5th and the car coughed and hesitated as I accelerated. Ran like a top the last 150 miles this weekend in downpours except for a bit of pinging. I was just approaching an off ramp, so I got off and filled the tank with 93 octane, the pinging now is gone, and just to be safe changed the fuel filter. All good for the remaining 90 miles.

Len, We need to get a local road trip going in the next few weeks.

Had my exhaust welded up. Took it over to my friends paint shop for a quote. Drove around the neighborhood a bit although the car is DMV challenged :).

The last sticker on the plate of this car is 2007. Time to get her back on the road.
