Post by zippy67roadster »

I drove my newly finished 67 Datsun 520 into the office last night as I was working swing shift and didn't have to pick up the kids from school. I normally would take the roadster but I wanted to put a few more miles on the truck prior to selling next week. I wish I would have taken a picture of in in the lot with the modern full sized trucks around it. Dang it looks small against those!! Here are a couple shots I took today, one with my 67 Roadster!

Yes these old trucks look (and feel) tiny compared to current models.

Here is a picture of my L320 with a new Infiniti QX. My, how Nissan has changed over the years!

THanks for the reminder Thom

Just yesterday I stood at the driver's door regarding the sealed shipping box with two newly-rebuilt ZTherapy SUs sitting on the seat, and wondered whether I ought to try to find my toolbox somewhere in the garage out there.

Went on to other things, but you've brought me back to the matter.

The weather here is messed up. We had 82 degrees over the weekend, then Tuesday it dropped 30 degrees in a few hours. Now it's about 40 degrees, the daffodils are frightened, and I'm wondering if some sort of global cooling is happening, if not a polar vortex.

Yup, great spring so far, 80+ Sunday, snow this morning and 1/2" of ice on my truck! Broke the ice scraper getting it off.

The day is finally here! I drove car #132 to work today without a hitch. Although I do admit that my "complement" of equipment includes a fire extinguisher, can of brake fluid, bottle of antifreeze, Triple-A card, etc :-)

But I wore my "lucky Datsun F-1 jacket" so I didn't need any of that stuff :-)

And what a day for it today in Houston! High 73f, low 55f

Cheers
James

I took advantage of a light traffic day to drive the Roadster to work.

And took a scenic drive home via Woodside: Kings Mtn Rd to Skyline to Hwy 9 to Saratoga.

Finally took the roadster to the office. Had to give a few rides to my partners. They all (3) enjoyed the ride and thought it might be something they could definitly get into. One of them told me he might get rid of his harley and get one, something about "my wife would ride with me in one of these"
The only thing I know is the search is on for a 5 speed. I really would like just one more gear, also I didn't realize how big those simi trucks are.
