Ahh, but to be period correct, a 13" wheel would be ideal for a '65.
Not many folks went to the +1 or +2 in wheel diameter way back then

Those would look awesome, and you're right about the 310! With the drum brakes in the front as well (correct?), drums painted black would maintain the sharp visual separation of the spokes. They are similar to the Equip wheels i considered and that James went with as I recall... really nice, and different.
