New Datsun fairlady owner in Australia

Hi fellow datsun enthusiasts,

Recently I purchased a 1966 Datsun 1600 fairlady sp311 (RHD) I am planning on restoring it over the next 12 months. (Doesn't need a huge amount of work) will respray it with a color similar to the original 531 beige grey metalic, get a new soft top and will retrim the interior, has original motor which still runs well.

Thought I would introduce myself and get to know like minded people, to gain inspiration from others and learn all that I can for my journey ahead.

Will post some photos tomorrow so you can have a better look.

Hey guys, thanks for the welcome. Matt will be in touch shortly have to source a fuel pump and then will be bringing the car to Enfield where it will be resprayed.

Can someone point me in the right direction please, I require a rebuild kit for the original showaseiki fuel pump for the twin carb engine or if not available will happily purchase a new replacement one.

I was going to order part 1651a from Dean at datsunparts.com however he is not open for the next month or so due to injury.

Am ready to buy ASAP so please point me in the right direction. Cheers guys.

I used a rebuild kit for the 510/1600 pump.
Fitted and worked perfectly
