Question...

If the City of Kelowna were to allow people to camp (no fires) in the area near the car show location, is this something that people would find appealing, i.e., like Canby? Just something I'm kicking around with the main guy for the Hill Climb.

Dave; Did the Cramer brothers register yet? Dieter and Peter are both coming with roadsters. If Mitch`s brother Dennis shows up in his roadster, there will be 3 sets of brothers....

Ross

PS a Frontier is just a newer Datsun......

FYI Linda -

Kelowna is in the Okanagan Valley. Historically, a desert climate, subject to California like Forest fire threat, such that in 2003 more than 264,000 hectares of forest burned - 319 homes and businesses were lost - 240 on Aug 22 alone. So, given that The Knox Mountain Hill Climb, is in downtown Kelowna, at the base of - wait for it - Knox Mountain - fires, are probably not a good idea. And in Kelowna, like in California, they are praying for rain.

Registration update:

Were ahead of last year's registration at this point on the calendar. :smt023

73% of the registrants so far are roadster owners. The bulk registered to date are 2000s (thanks mostly to Ross at Sports Imports beating the bushes).

I've been told by the owner of a '72 Hakosuka GTR that he'd like to attend the show this year. That will be really cool to see. Haven't seen one in the flesh yet.

I'm especially interested in what might be needed to get you NW US guys (Spokane / Coeur de'Alene, Seattle area, etc.) to the show.

I know many of the Washington / Oregon guys are heading to Canby-totally get it.

Some who may not be going to Canby may think that because the event is in BC that is is too far. To give you some perspective, Seattle to Kelowna is only 2 hours further than Seattle to Canby (nothwithstanding the border crossing).

My drive to the event is 10 hours. If I can make it, you can too. ...plus you get a 10% discount just for being from the US. What's not to like about that?
