Enkei Compe 8's?

Post by Copterpilot »

I just bought some used Enkei Compe 8 (or 80's). They are 14x6's. The fronts won't fit with the center caps on. I have spacers, but that would require longer studs. I could change out the studs as posted in another post by a guy with 15" Enkei's.

My questions are:
Has anyone found longer center caps to avoid this problem?
If not, does anyone know where to get replacement caps? I'd like to have a new set.

Consider making some spacers for the caps - that would bring them out a bit. I think Alvin has done something similar in the past. You can even just glue the spacer on to the wheel w/ gorilla glue and then snap the cap onto the spacer. You can buy aluminum pipe in various sizes or have a machine shop turn something custom.

James, I'll check into that. It's an interesting thought.
