When you sell the Roadster, spend the money on a helmet and anti-road-rash gear. Whilecbrad619 wrote: Now I need an update from you guys.

Roadsters make panties fly off, bikes make riders fly off.
I'm married, so the count is Male, Zero, female, unable to comment. It's been cold in Florida, so Sid has probably kept his on.
Oh, BTW I think you mean MGB-GT, and that's a hardtop, so the panties just fly about the interior until they get snagged on some rust or a broken switch.

Serious note, and it makes me sound like an old geezer, but if you sell the Roadster, spend the money on a helmet and good protective anti-road-rash gear. While Roadsters make panties fly off, cars hitting bikes make riders fly off. Not that a small car with lap belts is the safest thing out there, but at least around here, bikes are just too damn dangerous. I stopped riding in 92 after the 3rd close call and second broken helmet.

Re: introducing Charles
Thanks for your concern dbrick. Its good to know that your motocycle rider conscious.
Helmet is mandatory where I live. I just upgraded to an Arai from an hjc.
I wear a leather jacket with armor, high-viz vest, textile overpants with knee and hip protection, riding footwear and gauntlet gloves. I place a high-viz reflective belt on my backpacks too.
Although I know the gear doesn't keep me completely safe, it is worth every penny. ATGATT!
yeah I meant mgb-gt club......

Kind of working 2 threads on the same car here... I just looked again and you could also de-smog when you work on the 1600. It'll run (and look) much better.
+1 on the riding gear. What's the old saying about there being on 2 kinds of bikers? Those that have wrecked and those that will - you are just hedging on hospital bills not avoiding accidents.

Right on! de-smog is a great idea. I know there's a few threads on this. I wont add any more. I'm active on quiet a few forums. I know it's nice when things are organized.
I'd like to defer all correspondence on my SPL to the thread- wd-40 in the cylinders of a 311, If that's ok.
As far as the 2 categories of riders, I am in the latter category. Been riding for a little over 1 year. I know it's inevitable. I just try to ride as safe as possible.
Lately, I've been focusing on increasing my following distance.

Use it well (the money that is). Who knows maybe you'll get the roadster bug down the road
and maybe the new owner will drop by here too!
Cheers,
