There are several threads on here about straightening out the side body stainless/chrome trim. Ross I believe offers the service, but he is not too convenient to you. It can be done!

I got a tip about my trims, they are wrong for the year, I should need the ... (mmm the opposit of hollow) ones.
I found the topic about the glued side trims http://www.311s.org/pmwiki-311/pmwiki.p ... tion=print
That will be a good option but not sure if it will stick on the body when I don´t have the seam filled up completely... But it´s worth trying and save some money for original ones in a good condition...

that are the expensive ones, the hollow ones are cheaper and stronger as I know.

new stainless steel bulb welded (by a friend) on the fueltank, fueltank is in epoxy layer (from Sigma so it is green instead of yellow, it covers better than the yellow kind. so tomorrow the black 2 component layer can be put already on).

the fueltank is two times black, hopefully fuel will not eat thru the 2K paint.

Had a new alumium steel dashboard glovebox made

inlet manifold hand sanded with paper

The color is a disaster, this is a second example color and still not close enough to the "cherry red 525"

Finally found someone who has the original paint chart chips and find someone who makes that exact colors.
Only but is, the cherry red 525 held in sunlight isn't that nice dark red I am looking for, it looked more like a brown color in the sunshine, brrr.

So i found another color from the same time area (it is not Nissan but still Japanese), they spray it on (i hope this weekend) in the enginebay and boot/trunk. After that I am going to see it that fit's my picture in my head, otherwise I am done with the red thing :smt013 and make it black 8)

the underlaying example sprayed colors where held for cherry red 525 and an alfa rosso 130, they are both too light for the 525 color.

so picture of my car is coming.....

Have the chassis ready for rolling in to the paintshop...only problem is the road in front of the paintshop is shoveled upside down because of drain pipes of the sewer...so it was not possible to get the chassis overthere, hope next week....

placed pads (used in chimney/smoke pipes) they have a stick on layer at one side. I painted them with primer and black because I didn't liked the grey look.

aluminium glove box, primered and painted black, the size at the back is a bit longer (so my owner's manual will fit and I have some space to put in a aftermarket modern radio. If you want one, I can give you the sizes and ask the builder to make one for you (not for free :P )

Henk did some wheel alignment. The original bolts are to short and longer ones with the same thread are not found for sale, so the thread is rethreadted :?: to Metric M12 the bolts used are 9cm.
the spacers are made from alumium and a 1cm thick.
the camber is now about -2 degree. We will do the aligning again when the body is on.
