I may be interested but I don't see information about the 2014 run. Do you know what time they meet and where?

My 2014 resolution is to attend as many car shows/runs as possible. I only was able to do Jimmy's picnic last in 2013.

Excellent New Year's resolution, Ken! I'm going with that one too. 8)

Alvin

Great to see you did the run yesterday. The car looks great with new hard top. What type is it and where did you find it?

Thanks for making me want to put the car together more lol.

Yes Fergus, a run like that down here would be great.
Check out what they are charging for a 4 day event with deadline coming up:

Thanks for the feedback!
I sent some pics to BaT posted in their report:

http://bringatrailer.com/2014/01/01/sta ... tball-run/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Next year I am definitely bringing a co-pilot. I relied on Gentry in the Dino a little too much after trying to read and drive and take pictures at once.

Near-catastrophic photoshot:
Image
The benefit of the roadster's tiny width comes in handy as I reach across the passenger window to grab a shot of the E9 in action...we are doing 90mph+ and approaching the Golden Gate. I notice the E9 driver waving his hand at me and I turn my head back at the road. Lanes merging! I was about 10 feet from hitting the dividers.
got the shot though

Does anyone know who the red roadster belongs to? It had a familiar top/finish.

ps...the organizers are very relaxed. Pre-registration is encouraged but you can also drop-in the day of. Pre reg apparently gets you a baseball cap.

Great writeup and photos Alvin. I can only imagine what that run must have been like. I'm thinking of the scene from Basic Instinct on the way to Stinson!

I'm glad that I can see you love that Polaris silver E9 as much as I do. Wow! Beautiful car.

Cheers

+1 on the BMW. I had a couple of 2002tii's, but always wanted a 3.0. Still think they are one of the best looking cars ever. .....Mike
