i rode over the other day, and Bob took me for a nice ride, and that black beauty will fly. handles great, nice and tight, just like it was when brand new.
he had me missing my old 69 roadster, and wishing i could afford 218 and let him start over building 33
Just do it! I know Bob is eager to finish 33. Just think how cool you would look in #218.

Fixed the previous owners cut up wiring, instead of fixing a horn he just used the windshield washer button wired to the horns...

Nice, Mike. I think you will like the smaller wood wheel.

Put the body back on the frame and test fit the engine with the body on. I also installed my new windshield and trim. NEVER EVER AGAIN, I would have given the car away yesterday!!!!!!!!!!!! My hands are still sore, get one part done and it pops out when you work on the other side. I ended up taping and untaping as I worked my way around. The last corner I put some electrical tape on my needle nose pliars and slightly opened up the side of the corner clip, then crimped it around the trim so I didn't have to slide the trim out of the rubber gasket. I can cross this off my list of "Things I can do" and add it to my list of "Just pay for it tight wad".

From the sound of it, the early 4 piece windscreen is a breeze compared to the fixed style.
It took time and a lot of lubricant but the SP310 window went in quite easily :)
Nice engine, it will be a hoot to drive :smt023

Funny, Eric and I installed the front and rear glass in the 660Z Thursday. I agree, installing glass is a beeotch with creaky ol hands.

David, I just poured concrete and installed the lift a couple weeks before xmas. It took me 57 years to get one and I hope I wear the lift out before I am. I entered the car and plan on having it ready for Solvang, if I have to roll it off the trailer and push it in I will be there. Arizona is not really a hot spot for "Roadsters" so I am kind of on my own here. Very excited about finishing this car and seeing every one. You and any one else on this site are more than welcome to use my shop and equipment any time your in Phoenix.......Just add Hot.Rod@cox.net to your email address book or text me at 602-826-6238 any time your in need. Dave

Great offer. You should add you info to the "Emergency Road Trip Information" topic. If you build it, they will come.....

today I mounted my self revisited idler box, what a world of difference, and I had to charge my battery because I didn't use the car since October.

Yesterday I installed the modified fuse block I bought. I never quite cared for the one I made.

So I have the same three circuits, battery, ignition and accessory.

Saturday I did one of those tedious little jobs they never show on the TV shows. I sanded all the roughness out of the engine bay that the sand blasting left. Spent 2 or3 hours with small pieces of 180 sandpaper getting in and under every nook and cranny. Lots of sharp edges to cut your fingers on! ....Mike

Didn't do much except for allowing the Datsun to photobomb my American project.
