Las Vegas

Post by MccStyle »

Hi all
Last race was at the new track outside Las Vegas raceway. We were the first club to race on the exspanded track. Was a lot of fun. Got two more first place finish's. That ink's me in for the year end win. This time out we installed the volvo brack kit and boy did that help. I'm thinking about moveing up to Vara raceing next year, the more seat time the better.

Good for you. VARA looks like fun but it mostly in Southern Cali which probably works for you. I hear the Arizona crowd and the Southern Cali crowd have a bit more fun at the SCCA tracks than us northerners. I have my car already for next year. I plan to drop a 5 speed in it and a lightened stock flywheel into it over the winter. Even though they are older cars they handle pretty well on the track. I can see why they won alot of races during their hay days. Do you have a picture of your rig?

Todd,

I noticed you show up as a guest. If you forgot your logon password just click on the "I forgot my logon password" at the bottom of the logon screen and your password will be sent to the email address you used to register. If that does not help let me know and I will reset it for you. Your pictures have to meet the size limitation to be used as an avatar. Send the one you want to use to me and I will put it in the avatar roadster gallery so you can select it.

All of my track time has been at Thunderhill Raceway Park right out side of Willows, CA. It is a great track to run on. Next year I will run Thunderhill, Infineon(Sear's Point) and maybe Laguna Seca. I would like to check Button Willows out some time. It sure looks like fun. Take care.

Nice Job at Willow Springs

Todd,
Nice job out at Willow Springs. Your lap times made a few "fast" cars look a lot less fast. You might want to check out the Central Coast Z racers site, I think they were trying to find you. I can't wait to race my car this year, I think I have it sorted out enough to have a lot of fun.

Sorry, I find modern engine swaps revolting. Keep your G, R, or U series in your Roadster!
