oil leaking from bottom of distributor

Post by toadster »

Hi everyone, I have oil leaking from the bottom of my distributor where the timing plate is. Does anyone know how to cure this? I'd appreciate any suggestions!! :D

There's an oil seal there, and since you will need that, I suggest you get the kit that comes with all the seals and O-rings for the distributor (it is cheap anyways!). Most, if not all, the vendors (see link on main menu) have it.

good luck!

Try pulling the dizzy and resetting the O-ring. It generially doesn't go bad, but that doesn't mean that yours didn't.
