New guy to the lot - Happy Holidays Everybody!

Post by sdgregson »

Hey there everyone, my name is Scott from Arkansas\Tennessee.

Very happy to have a large family of roadster owners to help me on
my way with my project.

I recently purchased a 1966 1600 that is in decent shape- she has
a datsun Z24 engine from a truck in her with twin dellorto carbs.
Really weird setup but she runs ok!

My goal is to overhaul her and upgrade to a sr20de engine...

Thats where i will be looking to you guys for the expert advice!

Cheers everyone!

It would be interesting to see what the Z24 does with sidedrafts and maybe a cam. I don't know much about those engines, but I know there were some frankenstine engines done a while ago that mixed L-series and NAPS components and produced significant power. I think they used an L-series head on a 2.4 bottom end.

I think it will be a cold day in hell before anyone gets too excited about the QR engine... :Tosser:

Drive the roadster, fall in love, and then plan out what the mods will be-- if you do decide to go with SR power, we will be happy to help!
