Hey there everyone, my name is Scott from Arkansas\Tennessee.
Very happy to have a large family of roadster owners to help me on
my way with my project.
I recently purchased a 1966 1600 that is in decent shape- she has
a datsun Z24 engine from a truck in her with twin dellorto carbs.
Really weird setup but she runs ok!
My goal is to overhaul her and upgrade to a sr20de engine...
Thats where i will be looking to you guys for the expert advice!
Cheers everyone!

It would be interesting to see what the Z24 does with sidedrafts and maybe a cam. I don't know much about those engines, but I know there were some frankenstine engines done a while ago that mixed L-series and NAPS components and produced significant power. I think they used an L-series head on a 2.4 bottom end.

Welcome Scott.
As we always suggest........Drive her for a while....1 to 2 years and then decide.....the hot set-up might be a QR25DE with a 6 speed by than....LOL.........I am sure there are some guys or gals on the list in need of / want your set-up......

I think it will be a cold day in hell before anyone gets too excited about the QR engine...the hot set-up might be a QR25DE with a 6 speed by than....LOL.
