Does anyone know how to remove the bezel from he gauges on a 66. I want to rechome them and fix the tach.

They are crimped on and need to be cut off, no easy way to do it. Can you polish what you have?

with a screwdriver you can carefully open the flat ring at the rearside of the gauge, like a can opener, and later pull it back, it works but is not the best way I assume.
Horsepower is how hard you hit the wall,torque is how far you take the wall with you.

Can't polish. Someone painted them black and they at pitted like crazy. Might try to paint them with chrome spray paint or something. I do need to pull the tach and speedo apart to fix them or send them out.

Chrome paint doesn't work very well. You can't clear coat it or touch it after it's painted. At least the 3 brands of spray can I've tried. Bright aluminum or silver really does the trick. Especially on small pieces. I did my whole front bumper too, followed by several layers of clear it still looks the same as the day I painted.
