Well, don't just say "I got my car impounded today" without telling us why.

Well I was headed to a shop that does interior to ask them how much they charge for some carpet because so far I had finished my rear shelf with vinyl. I made a right turn while the light was red and no cars were turning and the officer said that was illegal. BS if you ask me. No signs there said no turns when light is red and no traffic coming. He was probably bsing because I only had 1 seat in the car. So we pull over and he says do you know why i pulled you over? I said no interior? He said because i turned on red. I was kissing ass saying oh im sorry this and that but he didnt bite. I think he was on his rag. Told him I didnt have a license and he started saying he could arrest me for some bs about murdering because I didnt know how to drive. All the paperwork was straight and it was insured so he gave me a ticket and said the car will be impounded for 30 days. Great. What worries me is the fresh vinyl and no top. Another rain could come and ruin it all. The radio is probably going to be stolen anyways.
That stinks about the impound Any decent impound yard will let you cover the car. Bring a roll of plastic or a car cover and a dozen donuts or whatever the traditional local non-monetary bribe is. Around here it's Italian pastry.
They might be reasonable with a convertible. At least he didn't throw the book at you, in New Jersey if you get caught without a licence, no licence until you are 21 and a few thousand dollars in fines!!!

I think they do that here too! Im hoping that wont happen to me! My mom finally says she will take me to driving school after I begged her months before this happened! I am going to wake up early tommorow and investigate where they took the car to and see what I can do. I have a tarp here I can cover it meanwhile. The fines are going to be pretty high...
I hope the officer accepts my apoligy for driving without a license.
It was a great show. I think people will have fond memories of this show for some time. I just got off the phone with Mrs. Yamaguchi. She called me with thanks for my help. I told her that what I did was so little compared to their labors and that everyone I've spoken to was so happy with the way the day the had and the cars they'd seen. She was really happy to hear that. During the show, they were so busy that they had very little opertunity to really see how things were going. After they had returned the rental equipment last night, they found that they were too tired to walk, too tired to even talk.
She said that she would update the japaneseclassiccarshow.com site soon (not today please!) with a list of the award winners and photos.
It was nice seeing all of you! I ended up sunburned beyond recognition!
I also stopped by for about an hour and saw some gorgeous roadsters as well as other very nice Japanese classic cars.
I don't know who it was, but there was a yellow high windshield roadster someone was pushing around the parking lot trying to get it started. I stopped by in the morning and saw them pushing it, and a few people were still working on it when I left. I came by later in the day, and noticed it going North on the 710 under it's own power. I was glad to see they got it running.
The weather was nice, and the Queen Mary is a very nice facility for a car show. The cars were great, and there was an abundance of beautiful Asian girls. Miss Yokohama was quite the show stopper!
It was a very good show indeed! There were more 67 2000's than any other roadster! Dan took a look at the engine of that yellow roadster and it was a H20 with a downdraft! He said that they knew nothing about that car they just painted it and interior. Anyway.. the show was very great.. Vic you were not the only one that was sunburned! Big thumbs up to you Vic, and nice job on scoring that award .
Just wanted to say, what a great time!! Thumbs up to Victor for securing such a large area for the Roadsters. The 2000 Roadster were the norm. It was nice to meet some of the other Roadster owners too. Their were many nice cars to see from the other brands too. IF the number of entrants and the crowds that showed up is any indication, this event will continue for a long time.
I even got my picture taken with Miss. Yokohama!!!
So.... The JCCS was my 1st car show as a Roadster owner - Great show, lots of nice cars, great location. All the nice Roadsters provided inspiration for me to get my project fininshed (worked on it all day Sunday ) - Thanks everybody.
Here's a few of the pics I took, posted in a hurry. Not all of the pics, and not really representative of all the cool cars to be seen at the show - but it's a start - http://www.wheelshark.org/JCCS/
