Roadsters on S.F. Craigslist

All,

I just got back from taking a look at these 6 Roadsters and the news is not good. There are 3 66' models, 2 67' 1600 models, and one 68' or 69' 2L model. All these are basically junk

. Out of all of them you might be able to salvage a fender or two and maybe a door or trunk lid. All have moderate to severe body damage, incomplete drivetrains, (1 did have a L16 in it), and no interiors to speak of, and most of the chrome was severly rusted. It looks like anything of value (couldn't have been much) is already gone. There are some good pieces left but the guy will not part them out, he wants to sell the cars complete(or whats left of them). He was asking $1000.00 ea or all for $5000.00 but after talking to him, he realises he won't get any thing near that. He told me he got an offer of $125.00 ea and refused it. I told him he should call the guy back and take the offer!! He would probably take $100.00 ea but if you ask me, that is still too much. Those pictures in the listing look like a roadster graveyard. It's a damn shame.

His name is David and his # is (925) 519-9795. Cars are located in Morgan Hill, Ca. Just as a reminder, these cars look bad in the pictures and even worse in person! You could not make ONE complete car out of these six. If I would have thought about it at the time, I should have grabbed the VIN's to update the registry.

Gave him a call.. Says hell call me tommorow.. cuz its kinda late..

Mark from the low windshields how was the int. Was all the wiring there? As if I could just drop in a motor of my own? I may be interested in one of the 67.5s.. Do you really think he will sell one for $100?
