Has anyone found an aftermarket rotor application that works with the stock roadster brake set-up?
I mean, for the most part nobody really buys OEM rotors, right? At $150 each it just doesn't make sense (for any vehicle) even if they are available.
I have done a bit of research and I believe the dimensions of the stock rotors are as follows:
Diameter: 284 mm
Total width (full thickness): 44.5 mm
Actual rotor thickness (new): 10.4 mm
Minimum rotor thickness: 9.4 mm
Four bolt holes.
I'm not sure the required diameter of the hub/center hole.
In any case I took these dimensions to Brembo and they do not have any application with these dimensions.
Anyone have suggestions on where else to look?
Any recommendations for an aftermarket rotor that fits?

I'm not talking about compromising quality at all.
Example: finned aluminum rear drums are listed at $97.57 each from Nissan. I found Brembo rear drums for a 240z, which are supposed to be the same fitment, for $49 each. Why pay more to Nissan when the Brembos are at least as good and half the price?
More $ spent doesn't necessarily equal more stopping power.

Personally, I would spend the money on rotors or get a good used set and cut them, use good soft pads and never spend the money on rotors again. I'm about as low budget as they come, I rebuilt the cigarette lighter with scavenged parts and have a Chevy trans mount, but brakes is pushing it. Something like switching fittings to use a 510 master cylinder, OK or the Volvo conversion, as it's been engineered and proved. This is like the ball joint thing, by the time you find a way around it, it costs almost the same.
This reminds me, have to check the ball joints on Roadster #2 before making an offer. Engine work is cheap, but ball joints, now that's a major investment.
