Re: Show your shift knobs
The 1500 knobs were teardrop shaped with the shift pattern. The 65 - 67 1600 wer round balls. The 67.5 up were black/chrome teardrops.

Re: Show your shift knobs
Use the factory shift knob/stick! By using the stock shift rod you can also use your favorite classic knob:ladydriver wrote:
since i have been busy wit an engine swap I need another shiftknob for the S15 stick, looking on hotrodshiftknob.com or maybe someone else has a good suggestion, i like a bit authentic and round, wheren't the older original shiftknobs in a roadster round?

Re: Show your shift knobs
I tend to grab the shifter sideways, so the Momo or a taller knob works better than a round ball for me. The Momo on the short stick was the best.

Re: Show your shift knobs
@Alvin, so the original stick just fits in a S15 5gearbox? Didn't know that. Would be awesome to use the original chromestick. Not sure about the knob yet (original or a round one, I think I have to try both which handles best for me).
Thanks for the interior pictures, I spotted some nice aftermarket radio's on moss it's website http://www.moss-europe.co.uk/Shop/ViewP ... ortOrder=2and was thinking of putting one in but maybe just an cheap aftermarker in the glovebox will do too...

Wow Thomcraft! That is some beautiful work. Love the stitching. Post a photo of the complete interior.

Re: Show your shift knobs
I don't have a pic of the full interior, that I can find anyway, and she is all covered and in hibernation right now ( its currently 4 degrees here in North Idaho). I am doing a steering wheel resto/conversion that I just posted and will get some pictures of it installed back in the car.

Nice. Did you make that shift knob or buy it?
Also that interior looks really nice. Don't leave any cookies in there for a bear to get into

I wish I could claim I made it...but it was purchased off eBay.Linda wrote:Nice. Did you make that shift knob or buy it?

I believe it originally came from Rallye back in the 1990's based upon the box it came in.
It is wood with the Griffin inset very comfortable.
Thanks. I have been working on the interior and am almost done with polishing up and refreshing an ash tray knob a fellow datsunut sent me...note it is missing in the photo. I gave the car a big cleaning before stashing it for the winter.

Re: Show your shift knobs
Thomcraft, that gated shifter plate is beautiful too... Does it shift pretty natually through the gates? The knob is cool too.
