What did you do TO or FOR your Datsun today?(Roadsters only)

I started rebuilding my carburetors only to find that I have 2000 floats with 1600 float bowls and valves. Paused that, jumped over to rebuilding my starter when I found out it wasn't worth rebuilding. Ordered a gear reduction starter and in the process of getting 1600 floats.

Some of the 70 model 2000s were delivered with the 1600 type free floating floats rather than the side hinged 2000 models. They work.

Mine has the 2000 float, but everything else is 1600.

I went to thread my new valves in, not even close! I will try to take some pics next time I work on the engine.

Today I bought 4 white wall tires (???!%$@!) for the wife's 1500 roadster... the first time in 30 years ever to buy white walls... oh boy...

Funny about the white walls. I just got a set from Les Schwab for my 521 and the Schwaby guy couldn't believe I wanted them facing out. When I told him they came stock that way he seriously thought I was full of BS. Kids.
