New Member from the Carolinas (Happy to Be here!)

Post by mrsteve »

New Member from NC...(Fayetteville)
Hello everyone! I'm Steve; new to the Datsun Roadster community...fact, I've longed to buy a roadster. Unfortunately, I've had
little to no luck finding one until now? Hopefully if all "goes" well, I will be picking up one very soon? Stay tuned and wish me luck!

Steve

**I will post pics once the deal is done! I'm looking forward to learning more from all you guys/gals in the community!

^^^67.5, 1600 Fairlady...color, it looks like an oxidized Green? Once I'm able to pick her up, I'm going to do a complete detail (exterior and engine) to see what's hiding underneath all that dirt? On a side note, is there a detailing forum some where on 311?

That's funny! Every post here is detail
Nope never seen anything in particular on detailing of a Roadster, they are pretty simple to work around and in, limited chrome and nooks and crannies - so pretty straight forward in my opinion. Of course, you can always start your own thread on this, and I am sure plenty will respond.

Welcome Steve. Seems that there are getting to be more Southeast owners all the time. Feel free to throw a BBQ when the weather is nicer, so that all the local members who "will work for food" will come over and "detail" your car! :P

Linda
Sadly-Linda has passed away 2022. She was the 311's den mother and drove the first Rare-Parts ball joint project. RIP.

Hey thanks Linda! And a BBQ sounds nice! I'm a country boy that loves to grill, and eat! lol. I might have to put together something when it warms up? Worse case, even if there's no "details" done to the car, there's always some food and adult drinks? :) :D

Hit Alvin up for detailing ideas. Rumor has it that he actually takes his wheels off to clean the back sides after every drive...

Haha, I've seen his car only in pics and it looks amazing! I can only imagine what it looks like in person?

Steve, it is all photoshop. This is a candid shot of Alvin's car out on a Roadster run a few days ago...
