They will be covered with interiorstuff.

I used old and new earplugs to put in the holes to prevend paint on the threads

the first layer coating is on, this week I will go for layer two

















We want to make some more stiffness in the front of the body, so we made a cross

Nice work. I just don't see what the X brace at the front gives you other than less headlight shake on bad roads...

in the last roadster magazine was an article about an X-brace. The owner his opinion: "my car felt more firm and steady, exspecially when turning in to corners."

If that is so it would be nice but I hope more for stifness in the front to prevend bodyparts (to much) moving and getting cracks in the new paintjob. Also not shaking headlights would be a nice feature I like dusty roads

in the standard lady the original radiator is mounted in the brackets, normally the radiator gives some stiffness to the nose (we think). There is a radiator X-brace for sale for more sporty driving. This brace prevends that the radiator cracks. (http://www.hrc-dat.com.au/Radiator-Brac ... hroud.html). In our car the radiator sits on the front axle and the topside is bolted on one point on the original brace, in this case the radiator does not give stifness in the front. With our cross we hope that will do the job. There is just not a lot of body in the front.

I never saw that website, but with the idea of your new radiator I can live, but I assume your not gonna race with her?
Cracks will appear after a time, or you let her in the garage, and keep her pristine.

For the battery, we stuck it in the trunk. It fit right in and looks clean.. I lost a couple inches of trunk, but It's very convenient.

Hey, Who did that trunk panel? I like that.

On page 10 I orderd the rearfoglight(GAC4609) from Moss, but the old types they don't deliver anymore, so that was not the cheap solution I wished for (i could send it back) but instead I use it for the Fiat 6oo. The both backuplights are restored with new parts, a new glass etc. I like to have two backuplights for the simularity. Only one bracket not seems original...





The rubber boots (17H5216) and the black connectors (2H4992) work perfect on the rearlights (and licenseplatelight).



very narrow hole so use some vaseline to glide and a thin metalwire to pull the lightwires one by one thru the boot







use a screwdrive (or something else) to pull the wire thru otherwise it cuts in you









also ordered some wrinkle black paint in a spraycan (MRD1048A) for the dash and centerconsole trimming. (not used the paint yet)
