Wife and I took the little Blue Baby on a Wine Picnic in Santa Barbara county. Great ride, great picnic, and great company.

Thanks for compliments pebbles and RCMike.

I guess I know how to take a photo that doesn't show any of the issues! :D

Went to a "last meet of the year" with Woody, it was all Nissan and almost all tuner cars. Some people were seeing a carburetor for the first time :D Weather was crazy, gusty winds and leaves everywhere, I was almost losing sight of him on the way over. The scoop on his car was filled with leaves. Hung out for a while, and suddenly started raining. Woody ran for home, 80 miles with no hood and no wipers.
Apparently, pictures are popping up all over the Interweb.

It's funny, it's still referred to as Bob's car around here. Nice having a finished car. Have to paint it, thinking of a charcoal/ graphite, but will be a crapshoot with all that red, but then it will be mine.

On Sat I drove over to Peter's to get the new wheels sorted. There was bit of rubbing on the weights which wasn't serious. Did a quick polish and then it was ready for SuperCar Sunday today. Saw the cars, then watched the Datsun Zs plus RCMike in his Roadster take off for a fun run towards Ojai. I decided to test out the new wheels with a short drive up on Mulholland. Leaving Calabasas just as Mulholland Hwy begins it's 2 lane scenic drive thru the mountains, I noticed a bright orange sports car behind me.Had no idea what it was, but I could hear it backfiring behind me as it pulled up but never passed. At the light at Las Virgenes and Mulholland the car pulls up on the right, the driver rolls down the window and asks"What year is that?" It was Jay Leno, in a 69 Lamborghini Muira. I answer "68". He says, "Nice I used to have one of those" I answer with a smile, "Yes, I know, I met you over at SuperCar Sunday one time" Then I said. "I don't want to race--" He laughed and drove ahead as the light changed. Following along behind up thru the Snake I could see blue smoke belching periodically and a pop pop kind of backfire. At the top of the Snake where everyone pulls over to chit chat, Jay and his friend had pulled over, as I did. I mention to Jay, "You've got some smoke coming out, and there's a backfire". He says he put some Marvel Mystery Oil in the gas to lube things a bit, and also there's no muffler on the car. Oh..... He asked how long I had my car, I told him and then said "I got new wheels!" LOL
When I got home I researched Jay's car and found out it is quite rare and worth a 1/2 mil or so. Still, the little Datsun attracts some attention too, which made me smile.

Hey Linda,

How many times have you seen Jay? Are you following him or the other way around? And the wheels look great!!!!

Thanks! Jay is around alot both on the road and at shows. He makes a point of inquiring about cars he sees. Just surprising that he has asked about my car twice, but also checked out a Roadster fun run group a while back in the same spot as the pic.
He has been directly behind me while driving , once in my other car. That time he was in a convertible and the look was " Uh oh, a woman driver".LOL
