Looking to Rebuild Roadster Engine

Post by DatsunMax »

Hey there 311s community, I'm looking for a Datsun Mechanic to rebuild my 1966's engine. I live in the California Bay Area. I am doing a full restoration of my Datsun. Please post and let me know if anyone can rebuild the engine of a 66'.
Thanks!
DatsunMax, Out looking to restore my convertible.

Rebello Racing in Antioch May be an option.

Do it yourself! Not that hard, and a rewarding experience every time you fire it up!
If not, what about Les Cannaday (sp?)

Kevin Deserillo is a pro at building motors. Will also have your
head work done too.

Its not hard to do, doesn't require a whole lot of specialized tools, (a good torque wrench being the big one here) and its a fantastic learning experience. I've done mine twice, the second time was not really needed however.

Dave Rebello can build you a nice motor, but it will cost you, and it will take awhile. Mark down in Hollister can also do a nice job.

Sorry, I find modern engine swaps revolting. Keep your G, R, or U series in your Roadster!
