Even the usually jaded New Yorkers were looking and commenting on the car
(there’s this weird effect with pedestrians where they assume that nobody in a car can hear them speaking, even if that car is five feet away and wide open to the sky)

Thoroughly enjoying the blog for this epic trip. I hope it gets a write up or mention in the Roadster magazine from OZ since Darren takes content from most anyone as far as I know.

I think it should be made into a movie... With Scott to be played by Johnny Depp. Or Chevy Chase... One or the other...

Wow I've been out of touch for a while bogged down with work and life, so sorry I'm late to the party here. I could of had you come out to Long Island for a day and we could have taken the roadsters down to the beaches for a great photo shoot, or even done some striped bass fishing. Let me know if your coming back this way. Brisco has my phone number and email.

This is probably much more of a Chevy Chase kind of trip than a Johnny Depp kind of trip.Datsun.David wrote:I think it should be made into a movie... With Scott to be played by Johnny Depp. Or Chevy Chase... One or the other...

Thanks so much for the offer, but I'm southward bound and heading toward Annapolis/DC. Will give you a shout next time I'm in the city, though.nats226ny wrote:Oh yeah, Garage, bed, shower, food, parts, tools, plenty of wine and whatever all here!

Re: Around-The-US Road Trip
The guys at New Jersey Motorsports Park are letting me on the track tomorrow morning for some photos...racetrack + snow could yield some interesting results; will post if I get anything cool. Otherwise, I'll just drift the car through the drifts.
(No pun intended on the "cool" part)

Scott, I have seen 18 month calendars, but if you continue to take amazing shots like you have been I see a need for a 60 month calenders! Have fun on the track and keep us up to speed. (Pun intended)

Re: Around-The-US Road Trip
Today's fun:
At the racetrack:

In the snow:

It just sort of flurried for a while and a little slush accumulated at the top of my windshield, but that was about it. Kind of fun getting snowed on for the first time on the trip, though.

Well, you get the full spectrum of weather, so it will be a complete trip. Going south soon?
