Re: SRL311-00218
Thanks for all the compliments!!
Been back home for a few days and trying to knock out the electrical. When sending stuff out to be chromed I had removed the turn signal stalk and had it chromed as well as the little cover on backside of switch. While switch was apart I cleaned up the inside of turn signal switch, made a few contact repairs, and had the cover powder coated black and cleared. I put it all back together and looks great. It looks even better on the car!!
All my electrical items are working now. I still need to install the horn button after painting my steering wheel hub, and add the center console after carpet (but radio and cig power work). The hazard flashers kicked my butt as they are not on the wiring schematics.
I had the dash powder coated in a wrinkle finish and made a grounding harness that goes to each gauge. When installing my turn signal I could not get my car to switch to low beams. After checking out my turn switch many times I remembered that I had the steering column powder coated and needed to ground the turn signal assembly as well. Luckily I made a few spare ground wires in the grounding harness.
I put the car back in her spot in the garage as I will be out of town for a few weeks again. The brakes and clutch have been bled and ready for a test drive. A windshield and door hardware should allow me to do that around Thanksgiving weekend!! Wahoo, I can't wait!!!

Nice work Bob. I can't wait to see the rest of your progress. I didn't notice the blast cabinet when I was out there? I must have been too busy looking at all your 67.5 2000's!

Re: SRL311-00218
Thanks Kyle!! I have had that cabinet several years. Its really handy to have. Theres a few things that I don't like about it, but overall, its pretty good.
I couldn't resist since I was so close, so I put the door hardware on and took her for her first spin. I had to tune on it, and its better, but still have some fine tuning to do. Right now I have 210 airs, 175 fuels, 60 pilots, and 40 pump nozzles with 37 venturis. It couldn't help but put my foot in it once or twice. It runs really good. I will get some better video and pix later (this was taken before tuning carbs). The iphone has to do for now.

Really great progress Bob. And now I know why my turn signals and lights aren't working!
I agree the car looks great w/o the windshield - low and fast!
Cheers

Just for grins I chromed the grille insert and polished the stainless horizontal bars while have the grille surround chromed. Looks pretty good. I have nice black one should I want to go back to original.
I spent today knocking out dings on my trim and polishing up.

"pretty good" is an understatement. (imho) Anxious to see it placed

Re: SRL311-00218
I finished up the passenger side trim, added the posties and twisties as well as deck clips. I had my cockpit trim chromed and installed it. Deans interior stuff arrived and I installed the tunnel carpet so I can get the center console and shift plate in.
I couldn't resist another drive, so I wiped the dust off and took her around the neighborhood a few times. I am working on the windshield frame and hope to have it on the car soon. I sent one out to be chromed but have not received it back yet, so I have a nice one from 33 that I am going to use for now. It will have the original satin silver paint on the inside while my chromed frame will not. The car will be black and chrome (except for the red interior).
