Post by mrweld »

I have been a Datsun fan for many years, owned a couple of 510's years ago but currently own a 1970 1600, picked up a month or so ago, not running at the time, needs love but Im slowly but surely getting it together. I own a fab shop here in the rolling hills, build custom cars and motorcycles, check out my fb page, Gas Axe Chop Shop if you want to check out my work.

Welcome. Where in Tenn are you located? That is one beautiful state with some great driving roads. If you can post a pic that would be great.

I am located in a small town called Ten Mile, right between Knoxville and Chattanooga off I75. I live on a 300 acre farm that my family has owned since 1944 and will take my last breath here!! Im a country boy to the bone.. My car is nowhere near picture worthy yet. I am sanding the body and couple of places that will need a little metal work before paint. Just got engine running Sunday, working on brakes and clutch now so I can take it on a shake down run and find any other problems. I really lucked into this car, hard top convertible, 4 wheel disc brakes, really great body, interior is all here but needs love too, driving to supper one night and an old dude pulled it on the side of the road for sale for 800 bucks and I gladly took it off his hands, bought a one owner 1976 Cosworth Vega the next day so I really felt lucky that weekend.. Ill post pics soon!!!!!
