I install most of my carpet kit. Just the two front pieces need to be finished and that far back piece I think I am supposed to glue on. I was thinking I would get out the glue gun for it.

Got inspired by our drive this morning and fixed front and rear passenger sidelights. One was a ground, one was a bulb & socket not playing nice together.
The car's electrical is 100% now.

I drove mine to fossil's for some parts. Had a great chat and drove home. I was going to change the oil but I will wait for a cooler day.
Stan had some good tips and info on some "to-dos" I have pending on the car.
I am always honored to be in the presence of the fossil :)
Thanks Fossil!

Working on the white beast which has sat in my garage for 11+ years now.

Got the frame out from under the car.

This is some of the junk caked on the rear end. I've never seen so much stuff caked on like this. It's mostly on the pumpkin and the passenger side of the housing. Somehow this doesn't seem like a good sign for the rear end.

Well summer is finally leaving Oklahoma so it's time to work on the roadster again. Today I sprayed 4 bottles of Raptor bed liner on the underside. Have to say it came out very well. Saturday I buffed out some alum. and chrome pieces with the cheap Harbor Freight 6in. buffer I just bought. That too worked out very well. Mike

Cleaned up the brakes, and dealt with the flat spot that I got when I got cut off on the freeway.. Unfortunately my ABS was not quite as quick as it needed to be..

Most of that junk is from the transmission/ speedometer boss leaking.
And the distributor, op sender,,
Inside the front crossmember and the X get really gooeyd up too.

Good batch O work Curtis!

I figured as much and I think maybe the tranny might have leaked too. What's odd is the red colored stuff on the pumpkin. Either the dirt had iron oxide in it or the car was somewhere with red soil.

I like to think of that oily film as rust proofing film :)

So we should coat all the rust prone areas with that?

Got all the fuel lines done and re-fitted the fuel tank.
Actually poured 10L into the tank for more serious testing.
The fuel filter bowl is not getting fuel so I assume either the fuel pump isn't or the filter bowl is sucking air.
Irrespective, with some fuel intravenously administered to the carb bowls, engine fires up easily and almost idles
I'll test the fuel pump tomorrow and try to fix the fuel filter bowl.
Carbs seem to be in the ballpark but the front one is backfiring and with flames!
Can't remember if that means too rich or too lean :?
Sounding good and getting better!
Got a call from my Motor Trimmer today, my seats are ready :D
I'll pick them up in the morning
Nissanman, just trying to help.

Did the fuel system clean out and oil change. Test druve didnt go well. No feel and very small travel in the brake pedal. Looks like a brake system checkup is on the agenda this weekend.
