Re: Early 1600 dash
I have used Stan's(fossil) on all of mine so far and they are money well spent. My three cents.

Re: Early 1600 dash
Not trying to hi-jack pokermans thread, but.....does Stan or others make a red early dash pad? Did 65-67's with red interior come originally with black or red dash pads?
So back on track, I used Dean's dash pad on my last car, no complaints. I did learn quickly to chase the threads prior to placing the dash pad and again prior to each and every screw. If not you will probably ding the screw heads up during install.

Re: Early 1600 dash
I was thinking about red for mine, but giving it some thought, seems like it's just too much red in one small car.

Thanks SPL310 for the info. on proper color of dash pads. Viewed a few red dash pics on Dean's site and wasn't sure if they were OEM and or even available.
dbrick, I agree with too much red. Building a "close to exact" 67 in white with red and wasn't sure if the red dash was OEM. Kind of glad it wasn't.
Soooo, are vendors red interior kits close to what was the original red color?
Here I go jacking pokermans thread again. DOH! should start my own........

Re: Early 1600 dash
Bruce,
I am pretty sure the vendor's red is pretty damn close to the original factory red.
Keep in mind red dyes fade faster than some other colors, so an original example, while it may be well preserved, won't be as "red" as a new vendor interior.
To get back on topic, I have seen Dean's pad, Stan's, and Les Cannaday's, and ALL look good. I'd say make your choice
based on who you like to deal with.
