All this Shedd BBQ activity made me jealous, so I went for a fun run drive Sunday, after putting on my Shed BBQ hat :)

Came across this red car on the Rockstorephotos site, who is it? Can't quite tell--

That red car looks like it has Comp suspension and the chrome looks GREAT.

Weather is nice here now so I drove it to workout. Then my wife and I went for a drive around the area. Car still wants to run at 190-200 degrees. Warms up when I stop at lights. Mechanical gauge so I have to figure it is close.
66 stroker, almost done.
67 basket case, paint coming soon.

On Sunday I drove to Starbuck's...... in Malibu:
I was hoping someone would ask to drive my car and then buy me a Venti Frappuchino, but no luck. :? Settled for a tall iced coffee:

Finally un-burried the car, covered with shipping blankets my neighbor gave to me, to make a quick run to the stop 'n rob to grab a treat for a hard day of work. I did not run very well, kind of a miss / weak cylinder. Pulling into the garage it became obvious, a very noisy cam follower. One of the adjusters got loose and backed off. Major paranoia relieved :D. Keep your jam nuts tight out there guys!

So the weekend started Thursday.. I met Kevin D at the drift track, he wanted to see my car in action.. So of course he drives up right as this happens..lol
Image

I do not do tandem drifts, so taking a 240sx in the passenger door is not in my plans..

Friday Night, went to meet friends at Glendora, but the road was closed for the holiday weekend, so we went up to Crystal Lake instead.. The city lights become a blur from 20 miles out and 5000 feet up
Image

Saturday started at the S-chassis meet, and since I convinced them that the original Silvia was built on our chassis I was in..lol

Left from there for some food at Sonic.. Always a fun picture when you can get at least 3 generations of Fairladies..
Image

But it was WAY too hot, so I drove down to Huntington Beach, then across the VT bridge in Long Beach.

Ended up at the monthly Z and other Nissan meet in Cerritos.. This picture is early, as usual ended up about 50 cars including right drive Skylines, Zs, and others..
Image

Today went to a local meet at the park, stayed for a while and ate the amazing BBQ, but again it was way too hot.

Drove down to the beach, and drove south from Newport Beach toward Dana Point..
Image

Decided to miss the holiday traffic by running over Ortega Highway..
Image

Then I decided it was still too hot down in the valley so I was going to get lost for a while.. I went exploring on a road called South Main Divide Road…

Over Elsinore
Image
Image

The motorcyclists were purposely getting lost too.. His and Hers new BMW dual sports.. Nice bikes and nice people..

Anyway, sun getting lower, but the views were still amazing..
Image

Road getting smaller..
Image

Fording the creek..
Image

Why can't I ever remember to shut the door when I take photos?
Image

Sunset off the hood..
Image

Overlook waiting for the bikes..
Image

Last light..
Image

Starbucks parking.. Orange light on an orange car..
Image

Fun weekend so far..

Did a little 200 mile run today. A couple of mountain loops. The Alpine Loop and Nebo Loop. A bunch of light sprinkles.

A pic to celebrate the end of Summer.

Image

Over looking Utah Lake.

Image

Can't pass up a chance to pick up some spare ammo on the side of the road.

Image

And now up on stands to clean up the underside after the rain.
