Hahaha good comeback, I still have that outfit maybe I'll wear it at the Glen Saturday nite for dinner..............gee I hope it doesn't clash with what Kathy or Diane are wearing.

Oh yeah and those aren't just any beads, they are oriental love beads:)

That's the problem, just having a fun weekend, and then the photos get out.. I really hope they deleted the video Gary had of Mark with the......Oh never mind, that didn't happen.

I really need to remember NOT to tuck that shirt in, looks bizarre with 3 arms.

First, I need to thank everyone involved.

My Wife Linda, for making it look like I actually organized and fixing my mistakes.
Joe and Sue, Facilities, insurance, support, and general chaos control
Amazing Joe, for adding chaos as needed and raffle help to save my voice.
Carl an Kathy for extorting local businesses and Chamber of Commerce.

Huge credit to Sherry, Pat, Holly, Sue, Linda, Jim K and probably a few people I didn't see for cooking and transporting an incredible dinner from the kitchen 7 miles away to the dinner, and getting it set up and served.

And a big thank you to everyone who came, Great group of people, once the show and dinner start, it's not work anymore, it's fun.

Event Summary

The Meet and Greet at Two Goats Brewery Thursday night was great, looked like about 30+ Datsun owners and co-pilots plus a busy night of regular customers. I pity the poor guy making sandwiches, he looked really tired by the end of the night. All credit to Carl Langenfeld for the idea and setting it up. It was the first time we did it, and will be a regular event.

Friday was the Grand Prix festival, people strewn about town, we all met up on Datsun Hill. Surprise visitor, Biker Mike from California came for the weekend. He appears to have survived staying at our house, and with therapy should recover in time for Solvang. I'm assuming he shot a whole lot of pictures of the show and events.

Saturday Morning
We had 30 cars at the Show and Shine Saturday morning, weather was great. Ed Uncle had his new orange 1600 and was buying votes with free fruit

Saturday night we met up around 4pm at Watkins Glen Pavillion. Sherry and crew served an incredible gourmet dinner for 70-75 people, and we started the awards, see above.

The Raffles followed, Amazing Joe helping save my voice. The sponsors and especially the show participants contributed two tables full to choose from, everyone left with at least one thing, so we had a success.

Thanks again to our Sponsors, both vendors and local businesses.

Dave, you did a great job again this year. Everything went as planned, as far as I could see...maybe it was the wine? Seriously, another great event. Shirts and hats are great. Food was excellent. I even managed to get the park to replace the burned out lights in the pavilion.

Sue and I enjoyed it very much. Thanks Gary for the jets and velocity stacks (what a deal!). i am hoping to fire up the Solex U20 on the weekend.

Dave, you are the hub that makes it all come together. Thanks again
Joe

I had the mini, it was the featured marque this year. Lots of new ones, but us classic mini guys had a good showing.

Kathy and I also want to thank everyone involved! But we have to thank 2 family's, our family of friends and relatives, and our Datsun family! Boy am I tired. Great to see all, new and past friends. Mike Unger, we hope you love watkins but they sure shortened your track time! There is a pretty nice picture of Mike on track. Go to the glen.com, their facebook section, click on pictures, then about 50 pictures in. (someone please post a shortcut, I can't) Nice to meet biker mike, David and his son at supper and all others. Dave and Linda, Joe, Sherry and all THANKS

I had great time last weekend and enjoyed meeting our east coaster Roadster brothers and sisters.

I attended the Friday Grand Prix, the Saturday Show and Shine and post-party at the pavilion and the races at the track on both Saturday and Sunday. I stopped at the Curtis Museum in Hammondsport on the way to the airport on Sunday.

I'd like to thank Linda, Dave and the others at the house for their hospitality.

I have lots of pictures to sort through and I hope to have them posted within the next week. I have been on business travel all of this week and haven’t had the opportunity to do so.
