New to the forum, from Las Vegas, NV

Post by Connisuer311 »

Hi all,

I have recently purchased my first Roadster. A 1966 spl. What attracted me to this car, besides the fact that it's a datsun, its obvious beauty, & the fact that you don't see them often, is that my father (70 yars old) drove this car when he was my age (24).

She is in rough shape. She may look nice in my unclear photo, but there are issues. There has been a decent amount of bondo work done, there are dents, some chrome need replacing and too much more to list. Interior is just as bad.
Electrical problems and leaks galore.

So...I'm here @ 311s.org, to learn, learn and learn; in order to one day have a clean, respectable roadster.

I think you'll find that, in addition to other great members/owners, one of the best experts is in your area.

Have fun!!

Hi Connisuer311,

Welcome to the Roadster group. I'm also fairly new to the Roadster stuff, but been a LONG time Datsun owner. I'm sure you will find others in your area.

Also, I want to make sure your aware of the "Multi State Datsun Classic" show that is coming up and pretty close to you. The show is in Williams Arizona, only about a 3 hour drive for you. There are always lots and lots of really fine Roadsters and other Datsuns in attendance.

See this link for info. http://www.311s.org/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=19712" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

There's a link to the tech wiki at the top of every page, but just in case, visit here: http://www.311s.org/pmwiki-311/pmwiki.php" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Chuck
that wasn't me, I just picked the roadster up on Friday. Came in to the city through the 15 from the north, took it to the 215 west and up to tropicana. I did talk to Brian about those badges though.
Super excited to meet up.

Checking out the pm now.

I have found 24 roadsters in Vegas and Pahrump, not all of them are running or together for that matter but you do have some local support here. Also have to mention Keith Williams, he is the carburetor guru and lives just off Decatur and Craig Rd.
