Been Lurking for awhile, FINALLY bought a Roadster

Post by len62 »

Hello All,
I'm Len from NJ, and I'm one happy guy waiting for a super smooth 67 1/2 1600 to arrive next Tuesday. Because I now have another 311 (had 2 SRL's since '69), I've been really studing the information on the site. THANK YOU ALL for the wealth of info. available here, awesome . I'll post baby pictures soon after they lower the ramp on the carrier. The car started life in Cal. and moved to Fl. 5/2012, now it's gonna be a JERRZZEE machine.
As a heads-up, Included in the sale (BUT STORED IN FLORIDA) are two items I did not want, and became problems to get in the carrier. First is a black hardtop, with portholes and rain gutters- appears in excellent condition. It's for a low windshield, with 2 points of attachment. One attachment screw was loose, and new weather stripping is included but not applied. I used an open carrier, and didn't have time to get it travel worthy. Next is 4 original rims/caps/tires for car. My car came with brand new sport rims and tires, so I don't need these. I do not have pictures yet, but have been told the tires have at least 50% tread, so they where left mounted. If anyone is interested, reach out. I expect to get pictures soon - I haven't seen these items in person, but they are described as being in very good condition.
Well, I gotta go re-sweep the garage bay so the crib is ready.............later, Len

Welcome Len. Look forward to your pictures.
If you are serious about selling the noted items, put an ad in the Classified for sale section, and include a price.

So, can you get it to Watkin's Glen week after Labor Day? :D :D Where in Florida are the wheels and hardtop?

Once I get back, we'll meet up. The local guys are in Kenilworth, Edison, Flanders, Livingston and Rutherford. I think you have my contact info already, if not, PM again.

That is a very nice car and was well presented in the original sales listing. You even have a license trim on the back of that half year. Congrats on the purchase and enjoy the ride.
