brought in a humongous trailer...it does not run, carbs need to be replaced.

After trying to maneuver her on the ice we finally puled her up and into her new home

Until next time...

Plans were to get it running, do some body work and drive it in the spring/summer.

got it running on its own...kinda. Installed a new fuel pump. I then got it running off the tank after i added about 4.5gallons but then it started to run really ****ty after 20 mins...guessing its picking up debris and junk from the tank so i'm gonna drain it and clean it tomorrow.

Cleaning up bay and test fitting half rad, (i know it MIGHT not be enough to cool it but we shall see) had to notch the frame but everything will get some support welded on.

Another test fit with modified gte manifold and yes that's a turbo...

Haven't decided on what rear will go in and what suspension i will use. I will be fabbing up some motor and tranny mounts next. Once that's done i will be removing everything and pulling the body from the frame. The project is on hold as i've been tinkering with the supra.

I realize the car will handle ****ty after this and will def. be heavier but i dont care, i want it to be able to cruise with it.

no real progress, still mocking up the trans mount and figuring other things out. However i did buy some wheels for it....couldnt resist at the price.
Image

lugs nuts need to be very small in diameter...

Image

Ok still working on the intercooler piping...until i can find a good local tig welder i will use a bunch of couplers heh...very tight space so i think this is the only way to route the pipes...for now. Don't mind the tape as the radiator isn't mounted yet. Need it there to make sure nothing is in the way.

Very long way to go still....

^^ that stopped in April...recently started back up.

So after a long summer i Finally was able to get back to working on this....

Drilled and tapped the fuel rail since i couldnt use the stock return location because the throttle body was hitting the fitting. Plugged up the original.
Image

I also moved the dipstick and welded a new mounting tap.
Image

I did the oil filter relocation, i'll add a cooler later on.
Image

Added a new filter.
Image

Started to do the wiring.....not the best of pics

Hope to have more wiring done and fuel tank done soon.
Feels good to get back to this!

I apologize if this thread isn't well organized as i just copied and pasted from other forum. I was hoping to have this done by now but things are a little hectic in life right now and i've kinda been getting back on track.

I will be running the fuel lines soon and cleaning and sumping the stock tank.

Lots to do but i've gotten optimistic since i'm back in the shop.

Will the stock hood fit?
What transmission are you using?
how will exhaust be routed after downpipe?

thanks for posting!
