It was on CL, but the market for classic imports in this area is dead. Right now, it's not advertised. It is said it ran great when drove into the garage. But with new stuff on, they said they can not get it to rev up. But it will idle. So, points, carb adj, coil strength or out of time cam(they did replace the timing set). But it is said it does not smoke. I will be sure not to "fix" it when i go inspect. Just inspect. and wright down results. I've got most gap numbers. Things I will check. Points Gap, Plug gap, Compression, Ign Coil Strength, Ign timing. I still need acceptable Comp numbers, and plug gap if ya'll would be kind enough to tell me here. I'm going to print this discussion out and take with me so I have everything ya'll said to check for.

hello from a former Mississippian, Greenville born and raised. my in laws still live there. we moved to nw Ark 25 years ago, and love it here.

i looked at that car and thought it was well worth what they were asking for it. i am sure it can't have much wrong with it, but be prepared to spend some money, cause once you start fixing it up, it never stops :P

Well ign conversion is first. then Carb's I've got a set of Carbs that I got for the BMW I was going to get. yeh I know.... Then a better cam. And as you know Sleepyzzz, humidity is hell here. So i'll be installing a hidden A/C system. besides the compressor mounted low, you won't know it's there.

i have always wanted to add a c and might do that on my next one. the summer months are no fun once the temp soars above 80 except at night.

Checked out car. Total bust. Worthy of a resto yes, but no where near drivable. Side mold missing due to cancer not allowing it to mount. Frame is missing it's top sections is a few area's. Could not test comp or ignition due to no oil. Owner did not even know there was no oil. We found the oil pan drain bolt on the ground and oil in a pan. Oil was mixed with water. Although no way to tell if the pan was contaminated before the drain. We pulled valve cover to look if the residue left uptop had mixed oil. Wiped clean inside. No coolant. So much slop in trany I could not tell what gear was what. Clutch and brakes inop. I could see the suspension through the inner wheel well. I did not even take pic's. Vin as follows SPL31121292 Titled as 69. Data plate unreadable. All in all. It was 100% complete car. it had everything plus extra's., but questionable engine, trany and frame integrity. Lower rockers and some rear quarter cancer, both front fenders attached by two top screws only. Yes there tear drop fenders. they were shaved and very poorly. Brand new exhaust though, with header. Serviced rear end with repaint, new rear shocks and very good top. For me? not so. I'm back on the hunt.
