First Ride

Post by glennhuff »

Well, it's still bare metal and bondo. It doesn't have any lights, door handles, or bumpers, but I took my 1600 for it's maiden voyage today. I finally got the distributor recurved, and the floats replaced. After setting the timing, and adjusting the carbs, I was on my way. I just went a mile or so down the road, but it was great. Now I know what this is all about. Thanks to everyone who helped with info and advice. Hopefully it will be licenced and ready to go about the time it gets put away for the winter.

Good for you Glenn. Sometimes a project takes a bit longer than we would like but it is always worth the effort. Enjoy the ride. :D
