New member from SoCal. Just saved two 1600's

Post by trav2210 »

Hey all. I am new to the forum and to the datsun world. I am and always have been into classic muscle cars, but recently I have been searching for a daily driver. I couldn't find it in myself to buy an 80's or 90's honda, especially with how much I like to wrench and customize. Anyways, long story short I ended up with a great deal on a 69 and 70 1600. They are both basically complete, one more than other. I have all the parts and then some but can only restore one. I will post pics up as soon as possible, and if anyone know of someone looking for a 1600 let me know. Other wise i will be taking it to roadsterwerx or another socal roadster shop to sell it for parts.

anyways,
I'm glad to be here and look forward to all the insight and support I've seen all over the forum so far!!

Hello and Welcome to the addiction! This will certainly be a different experience than the muscle car. Going stock motor or a swap? We're here to help, and I am glad you have found us to be a good bunch. I've been looking at other car forums (VW and a few others) for my daughters car... I've never found a better, more helpful and encouraging group of car owners than here on good ol 311s! So many forums are full of jerks, snide remarks etc... I've got no time for that!

Good luck, and try to make it out to some meets, car or not!

What Greg is saying is true, as i have been asking tons of nonsense questions. And even after that everyone still has the time to answer them politely. :smt005

Welcome and enjoy the ride. Very different animal than what you are used to.
Great place to get advise and parts.
