I am going to put a 510 one. Same thing just has the bleeders on the opposite side. Its wierd though because it constantly drips regarldess if I press the pedal or not. So I am not going to fiddle with it just put a new one. Braking the only the fronts really sucks so I suggest replacing it ASAP.

I am relativly sure it is the secondary piston cups, I might have them in backwards. If I remember brake class, 20+ years ago, The primary piston actually pushes the secondary piston with a "column" of fluid traped between.

What is the correct part to order, 71 510?

I don't know if you got this answer to your question about 280/roadster master cylinder compatability but I have one of each. The 280 master is about 1 inch longer and one inch taller. You might get away with the longer, but taller might hit the hood.
