I FINALLY replaced that little rubber plug for the brake light switch. What a dummy; I can't believe I waited so long. (Thank you Mark for the part, I owe ya!)

Now my battery stays charged.

I'm currently preparing the roadster for the next vintage race series starting in July. I got to repair the tie rod ends, new brake hoses, new front tires, and new DOT 4 brake fluid. I still need to have the front wheels aligned and cambered. A change oil is also scheduled soon :) Have a nice weekend folks!

lol Roman… That's tree roots.. And I'm not repairing it.. It holds the car while I shut the garage doors..

Got a couple calls so I ran up to drift night…

I guess you could call this "What did you do TO", right?

I am pretty happy with the set up I made for the throttle cable. Does anyone think the flex I have (from the too thin sheet metal I used) will be an issue?

Yea, I love Triumph. I run to them pretty regular. I wondered if anyone would comment on that.

Thanks

I towed my Roadster down to the shed with the Cub Cadet 128 . Winched it in the bay and on to the lift , yes I have my own lift in the man cave --jjjealouss.
Changed oil and have good oil pressure ,did not have spark but changed points and a better batt conn now I do . Lr brake drags, probably cly leaked.

installed a new choke cable, replaced the headrest speakers in my miata seats, installed a 4-channel amp in the trunk, and ran a cable through the center console to plug in my ipod. Overall, productive day.

My fuel pump rebuild kit finally showed up, so I know what I'll be doing this weekend. Also need to pull the plugs and see what color they are to try to figure out my pesky rough idle. I'm still waiting on inner window felt, a recurve kit, and fuel bowl gaskets to show up.

Beyond that, I'll be buying more vinyl to make new door panels, and also to install the stuff I just finished: restored center console, shift boot, upper door trim, and a freshly machined 2" black urethane ball shift knob. I know it's not original stuff, but it's a hell of a lot better than what's in there now...
