Alvin, those cloudy pics you posted were really nice, great angles and colors. Loved the last one with the arrow too...

Wow. Great pictures. I am going to have to drive more scenic routes and with camera. All those photos are great!

Well, actually last weekend. Was in Scottsdale all week. My Bro in law bought some property up in the hills. The dirt road with clearance issues was NOT fun. My Daughters horse and my Sis in laws Horse got my car filthy.

Kyle, I didn't realize until now that you did not have side chrome on your car.

I went for 50+ mile drive in the late afternoon to make sure there were no leaks or problems w/ the cooling system after installing a new thermostat, hoses and re-cored radiator. I didn't get done in time to stress test it in 100* temps today.

All is good so far - temp needle didn't go past 190*.

I headed into the Santa Cruz Mtns - up and over to Scotts Valley on 17 then onto Boulder Creek and up Hwy 9 to Skyline. I played on Skyline a bit and then went and back down into the Santa Clara Valley.

I drove our roadster in it's first cruise night yesterday. This annual event draws crowds all along the main street of town and over 500 cars participated. This was one of my goals when I first started resurrecting this car last fall, where it had sat in my wife's garage for 22 years. Lots of work and $$ and more to go, but it ran great and was a lot of fun. It drew a lot of attention amongst all the cars. A friend also has a 1967 1600 that was a complete frame-off restoration that turned out beautiful. My car is the red one, his is black. So our little town in NW Indiana has two roadsters!

I really like the original look of yours! The red wheels are a nice touch too. Congrats on making your goal!

Yes, tough call. I've always wanted to do a "clean" car with no badges or side trim. It looks good with this color (IMHO), but not so good with other colors. #60 will be restored to factory specs. Side trim, stock wheels etc.. No crazy engine builds. I may stuff a V8 or SR20 in this one when 60 is complete. We'll see when that time comes.

Congrats Locobill, your wife and the Roadster on your first outing! Your town has examples of two versions, now we just need someone in the area to barn find a 1500...

From San Jose headed up to Mt Hamilton / Lick Observatory and down the other side to Livermore via San Antonio Valley Rd and Mines Rd. Kurt and I had lunch at Poppy Ridge and headed back via Hwy 84 and 680.

Makes me want to move back to So Cal... you guys have some great runs. I hope to do a few of my own with DROPS Roadsters when I get back on the road. In the meantime, thanks for the photos... all that's missing is the exhaust tones resonating together!
