Brake bleeding

What order should the brakes be bled?

The adjusters go on top and the cylinders are at the bottom..sounds like everything is right... Bill

Your car is upside down! Flip the car over and the brakes will be easier to bleed.

Difficulty bleeding is common, but these things can make it easier:

First, bleed the master cylinder. My favorite way to do this is to attach hoses to the bleed nipples on the master and put the other ends back into the cups (clean hose!). Keep pumping till all of the air is out.

Then move to the rear brakes. Unless I am forgetting, the brake on the drivers side has the longest path, so start with it. Get it close and then go to the other side. When it is close go to the fronts, passenger first, then drivers side.

After you get all four close, go back and finish off in the same order. Good Luck! TR

Travis, good point that the rear drivers side wheel is the furthest from the MC. I naturally went to the passenger side, forgetting that the line goes from the MC to the balancer/sensor (what do you call that thing?), then to the wheels.

That would also mean that the passenger side front wheel is the closest to the MC, therefore the last wheel to bleed.

The important thing to think about is how long the line is when considering "closest". I cannot remember where the hydraulic splitter/leak sensor is for the fronts, but I'm thinking it is on the passenger side? That would mean that you are correct! The drivers side front has the longest path!
