leaf spring install

Post by doobop101 »

I have rubbed every knuckle raw so its time to call in help.
I bought a used set of leaf springs from a guy, No Problem.
Removed my old spring from one side and compared making sure of length. I cant for the life of me get the new spring back in place.
Whats the trick?
3 floor jacks and praying hasnt worked so far.
Any detailed help would be soo appreciated.

I always start with mounting the front of the springs first. Then you can use a jack to raise or lower in assisting with the axle and the rear mounts. I have never had a problem yet but your mileage may vary. Make sure you get the rear mounts oriented the correct way unless you prefer that jacked up look!! :)
