Here are the pics of the Mt. Wilson run.

Be sure to check the final pick of the classic showdown.
I have some video for those who were there but it may take me a little time to get it edited. If you want a dvd copy let me know.
Had a great time. Thanks much to Vic for his generosity.

Here's my photos.
We started out at "Base Camp", just off the freeway at Angeles Crest Highway. I was happy to find 8 roadsters ready for action.
base camp
Me and Steve led the way up, at a good clip to the first stop, the parking lot at the base of the observatory road.
First Stop
After that, Steve's "racing lightweight" chased me on a kooky ride up to the observatory peak, where we parked on the edge of the world. This is also where we met our BMW Bretheren (they loved our cars)
On the Edge
On the way down, I pushed it a bit and lost my brakes, boiling the fluid yikes! A quick bleed, and we're off again on another "spirited" jaunt, after passing a Miata or two, to the lunch stop at Newcombs Ranch
Newcombs parking lot
We got a treat to find a classic plastic sports car there
Saab Sonnet III
And, of course the bikes
Bikes at Newcombs
Then it was time for the eats
Let's Eat!
We talked of more rides soon and getting together for some of the shows. Sounds good to me!
If you care to see the full res photos, go to Vic's Photo Site at Fotki.com and leave a feedback as a bump!

The black one with the silver grill is mine. Stock 1600. The OTHER black one is a H20 block with some head work and 44 mikuni's. It hauls...
I don't know if I should say much more. I think the owner likes it being a sleeper...
The BMW's were all 525i's except for 2 which were 530 and 550's ? The 2nd one from left had a paddle shift setup on the steering wheel. That was cool.

Sounds like the new faces were given the "Victor" driving initiation ! Actually, by going on a run like this, you'll be able to determine any of the kinks/issues with your car. Definately you'll find its limits.
