Was in Sac for business last week (and almost every week) and stayed over for the weekend to go wine tasting in Amador. Beautiful countryside and a really nice day. Unfortunately I didn’t have my roadster but a borrowed Rav4. I sure wish I had the roadster, or one of these! Nor Cal 356 club descending on Helwig winery…

(Sorry, I know this post says "Roadsters only!", but isn't a 356 convertible a roadster?)

I am sitting in a hotel room in Dallas taking a break from getting ready for a trial that starts in the morning -- about ready to try to get some sleep actually, but that usually doesn't work that well for me in these circumstances. I close my eyes and then go through everything racing through my head

Wish I could write about driving my roadster somewhere instead and the wind racing through my head.

I drove to Auto Club Speedway and participated in a "dynamic driving academy"

I missed the loop around the cones, but at least I didn't kill all the cones..

Evidence of a fun day..

That's cool Mike. I've been following your vids of GMR and got to do it soon. What camera and mount are you using? Do you have a model number for mount?

Camera is here…

I have the black edition.

Mount is here..

I would encourage you to buy it at Best Buy and buy the protection plan. They have replaced them for me twice so far.. Of course that's my opinion and experience and nothing more and frankly I am kinda mean to the poor cameras, as can be seen in the first 5 seconds or last minute(if you want to see the slow mo) of this one…lol

We drove to Letchworth State Park. The "grand canyon of the east". Did a little hiking, a barbecue, bottle of wine...lots of sun. Car ran great!

Will post pics from a real computer later...

Here's a link to the park http://nysparks.com/parks/79" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Whenever it is due to be a 102F in my area of Los Angeles, it's a good idea to head for the beach. So after the SuperCar Sunday show in Woodland Hills I decided to do a Fun Run of One and head on out on Mulholland Hwy thru the Santa Monica Mtns, maybe check out the recent fire areas and get out of the heat.

Paul at Rockstorephotos.com got me going thru the turns on the Snake. Here I am trying not to fishtailLOL

I had been behind this girl, then she pulled over and got behind me:

Then on the way back look who was just ahead of me:

(8 photos)
Then I come flying by:

(6photos) Not bad!LOL
Finally I get back in time for Starbucks 1/2 price Happy Hour:

Yummmm 8)

Sadly-Linda has passed away 2022. She was the 311's den mother and drove the first Rare-Parts ball joint project. RIP.
