I was... I knew color was gonna be expensive since the car that comes like that from factory is $250K. But I had to have it!

cleaned up two tranny cross members (now need to remember which one is for the 5 speed  )
POR15 on the two cross members and drive shaft
wished I was at Solvang
My junk pile:
71 Jeep Gladiator. Restored w/#s matching engine. My WeeBeasty
70 1600 legit 2nd owner. Stroked and bored
Several salvaged w access to a barn full of parts, part cars & whole cars

Fixed the water leak at the thermostat housing gasket. Got the grounds right for the temp sensor to work again...

Got the body back from getting the bottom and engine bay sand blasted. Welded in a couple of patches. One step forward, two steps back. :( Yeah I wish I was at Solvnang too. Shooting for next year :D Mike.

Cursed at not having headlights and marker lights. Installed an emergency trunk release. Note to others: DON'T hook your release wire onto the arm of the lock. It won't allow the mechanism to move UNLESS you have the key in the lock....ask me how long it took to figure out that little gem!

Finally finished installing the carpet set and refreshed the floor console. Also replaced the heater valve cable since I had the heater box out and some room to work. But OMG that was still a challenging job! Thank you forum for helping. This is such a great source of info when stumped, like in “how the heck do I get the choke knob off?” Quick search and there’s the answer “push in and turn clockwise.” This site is invaluable; I just wish I had discovered it sooner.
